The Grand Deception
"Those who manipulate the unseen mechanism of
society constitute an invisible government which
is the true ruling power of our country. We are
governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed,
our ideas suggested largely by men we have
never heard of. In almost every act of our lives,
whether in the sphere of politics or business, in
our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are
dominated by the relatively small number of
persons who understand the mental processes
and social patterns of the masses. It is they who
pull the wires that control the public mind."
-Edward Bernays, Pioneer of Corporate PR
and Propaganda, Late 1890s
Regarding Michael Tsarion & the evils of power through deception
ReplyDeleteI think the layers of deception are profound. This involves me because, as a cult survivor, penetrating orchestrated layers of deception is my strength and gift.
I think I may never know which puzzle pieces Tsarion offers are factual because the layers of deception are so profound. In fact, a large proportion of what most of the members of our species think we know may be wrong. Despite not being able to prove or disprove specific puzzle pieces, no matter how many pieces of the puzzle are debunked or debunkable, the mosaic that they create is clear.
We are all subjected to a degree of deception and control far beyond what most probably suspect. I hope our species wakes up to the degree necessary to save itself from the serious challenges ahead. The puppeteers cannot be trusted to look out for the interests of our species. We all have to. Nature is waiting on us to do so. We owe it to our descendants.
I have decided, partly because of what Tsarion says (a better articulated message saying things I already knew), and partly now because of the Gulf disaster, that I can no longer keep quiet for the sake of playing nice. Politeness must take a back seat. I've created and applied some pretty inflammatory bumper stickers, for example. A small step, but moving in the right direction.
What do you think?
Blessings to you,
Terence
